Nel 2011 il Prodotto interno lordo italiano ( che ricordiamo è la misura più utilizzata per misurare lo sviluppo di una nazione) dovrebbe avere una crescita di circa intorno all’ 1,1 per cento, circa un terzo della media di tutti i paesi appartenenti al G7, che vedrà un incremento di 3,2 punti percentuali. Tra i sette paesi industrializzati ( appunto G7) la crescita maggiore si registrerà in Canada che vedrà nel periodo Gennaio – Marzo un incremento del PIL di circa 5,2 punti percentuali, mentre nel secondo trimestre l’ incremento dovrebbe essere di circa 3,2 punti percentuali. Buona la ripresa anche degli Stati Uniti, che vedranno incrementare il proprio prodotto interno lordo di circa 3,4 punti percentuali. A seguire le altre nazioni europee, con fanalino di coda proprio l’ Italia. Naturalmente le stime non hanno preso in considerazione il Giappone per ovvi motivi. Soddisfatti soprattutto gli economisti dell’ Ocse visto che secondo i loro studi la ripresa economica ha solide basi e potrebbe anche aumentare senza ricorrere a stimoli esterni. Ricordiamo infatti che durante la crisi che si è avuta a seguito dei problemi relativi al credito ed ai titoli “tossici”, gli Stati hanno dovuto tirare la cinghia ed eliminare le spese superflue. Infatti a seguito dei problemi di credito che hanno sconvolto tutte le maggiori nazioni industrializzate sia il settore pubblico che il settore privato ha tentato di frenare l’emorragia di ricavi tagliando i costi. Tuttavia i governi avevano comunque il compito di non farsi sopraffare dalla crisi , e quindi dovevano fare in modo che l’ economia ripartisse, e con essa gli investimenti ed i consumi. Tutto questo produce un rialzo dei mercati e dà la possibilità alle aziende di avere credito ad un costo accettabile. Infatti la seconda mossa fatta dalle banche centrali è stata quella di tenere i tassi d’ interesse di riferimento molto bassi. Le banche private devono adeguare il tasso di interesse dei loro finanziamenti a questo tasso fissato dalle banche centrali, pertanto se quest’ ultimo è basso ( per l’ Europa tale valore è intorno all’ 1 per cento attualmente ) saranno bassi anche i costi dei debiti che le aziende contraggono con gli istituti bancari. Tali condizioni che hanno sostenuto la ripresa economica, secondo gli economisti Ocse, sembrano ora superflue o comunque possono gradualmente essere eliminate visto che la ripresa ha ora solide gambe e può correre da sola.
